I will praise You, because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made… Psalms 136:14
We are each created with special gifts and plans.
Often we get stuck in our circumstances by taking on what the world or others tell us. We choose to believe lies!
If we are in God’s Kingdom, then we are in this world but not of it. That trips us up because we see through our natural eyes and often let that be our mirror or our gauge that we measure ourselves by.
God wants us to see through our spiritual eyes and walk in His promises and believe what HE SAYS about us is true! As we walk in relationship with Him, we learn of His love and actually start to love ourselves, and others, in the process.
He has plans to prosper us and give us hope and a future! We have been set free from sin and death.
Celebrating the gifts God has given us and celebrating our life in Him, causes a shift from toxic emotions to life giving emotions like: peace, love, joy, hope, patience, kindness and so on.
When we focus on the good in life and CELEBRATE that, it expands!
Many 12 step groups call it: Making a gratitude list.
God says it this way:
through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise—dwell on these things. Phil 4:6-8
God loves us so much! He gave us a book of instruction! He is so awesome! He hooks us up if we just “do what it says”.
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me.……………
8 My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be My disciples.
John 15: 5,8
I love the first part of this passage because it tells us how to produce “much” fruit; by remaining in Him. By doing this, the Holy Spirit directs and prompts us in the areas we need change. When we take action, the Holy Spirit brings forth the fruit, or a positive outcome.
It is up to us to be intentional by: Staying in Him and taking action.
There can be many areas in our lives that aren’t bearing good fruit: Spiritual, emotional, physical, mental; the list goes on and on….
In this season, for me, it is “working out”. I often find a way to put that last in my day and skip it altogether.
I am choosing daily to be intentional in this area, and I can only do this with Gods help.
God wants our lives to be in balance. It is in this balance that peace and abundance flow. Sound mind and creative ideas manifest. Our perspective changes and we begin to see our lives through Gods eyes: “Much fruit” comes forth and God is glorified.
When we walk with God, He makes our lives whole and complete.
Identify one or two areas in your life where you are not bearing good fruit. Choose to be “intentional” in that area and watch your life flourish.
I say one or two areas, because being intentional can turn into being overwhelmed if we try to work on too many things at one time.
I have watched people’s lives move forward when they are intentional in one or two areas at a time.
The fruit comes as you move forward.
