Sin causes guilt. Guilt causes us to hide and feel worthless and ashamed. In Genesis (3:8), God was in the garden dwelling with Adam and Eve. After they sinned, they hid because they felt guilty and ashamed. Gods’ original and His desire now, is to dwell in and among us. He has corrected the fall that Adam made, so we can dwell with Him, through the Holy Spirit, which is inside of us, if we accept Jesus, as our Savior. Forgiveness is the key: Receiving and giving forgiveness. God loves you and I so much that he sent Jesus to shed His blood to atone for our sins – so we are forgiven. It is a free gift and all we have to do is; receive it. God wants to be in fellowship with us and make our life better thru Him! If we decide to hang on to the guilt, it will cause us to hide from God. God made a way and sent Jesus to set the captives free. In response to being forgiven, he expects us to do the same and forgive others. "He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins--and not only our sins but the sins of all the world." 1 John 2:2 NLT Are there areas of your life where you feel guilty and are not receiving forgiveness? Or areas where you need to extend forgiveness? Receive his free gift!
Father, Reveal to me areas where I am stuck, due to not receiving forgiveness. Show me any areas of un-forgiveness, so I can repent and draw closer to you. Thank you, that I am forgiven and made worthy by the blood of Jesus. Amen.

"Acts of obedience allow our faith to intersect with Gods faithfulness. When we see him work, our faith gets bigger!" Andy Stanley & Ronald Jones I am in a writing group that chose the topic of: Obedience. Today, I don’t have a problem with this word. Being obedient to God is powerful and causes Him to move on my behalf. But, I must confess, ugh; there was a day that I did not like the word, or the act of, obedience. I never had the opportunity for God to work mightily in my life or have my faith get bigger, because I was so resistant to God and His ways. I always wanted to do it my way. I thought doing it God’s way would rob me of fun! Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. Col 1:15 Where in your life, is disobedience stopping God from moving on your behalf? Father,
Help me fall in love with Jesus, so I desire to be obedient! Thank you that as I step out in faith and obedience, you are faithful to do your part. I am excited to see you at work in my life! Four years ago, right in the middle of my busy life, I had to have a complete hysterectomy. I was clueless as to how this would send me into a tailspin. I went from feeling strong & balanced emotionally to feeling horrible; emotionally and physically.
My body ached from exhaustion, my health was in decline, and I was emotionally and physically imbalanced! This manifested in every area of my life, just my daily routine was a task. As a friend of mine would say, “I was one “hot” mess”. Literally hot! Hot flashes daily! I thought I might never fell well again. Little by little, (Duet 7:22) God started directing me to longevity doctors, to promises in His scripture about sweet sleep, to foods and vitamins that heal and nourish my body. He did it little by little because he was working on the bigger picture; even things I was not aware of. He began restoring my health and changing things that would have caused even more health issues later. My eating habits are healthier now; I take better care of my body. Through these hard times, I cried out to my Father and he showed up. My relationship with him is better today; I am more dependant on Him, I pray about even the small details. He has turned that tough time, which I thought would never end, into a beautiful story. (Rom 8:28) Today, I feel happy, healthy and strong: BALANCED! We all go through issues and problems. Call upon Him; He will restore whatever is a mess, usually it comes little by little; but is comes!! And often, it is better than before! The LORD your God will drive those nations out ahead of you little by little. You will not clear them away all at once, otherwise the wild animals would multiply too quickly for you Deut 7:22 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 What in your life is a mess? Father, I give you __(whatever you need Him to restore)__, I ask you to bring this area of my life into balance. Amen. |
