But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. Philippians 3:20
When I traveled to Europe, years ago, I felt out of place. Even though there were things I loved about the place; the fountains and architecture, the ambiance of the quaint cities and the cobblestone streets. I did not fit there. I did not speak their language. Being a Christian is a lot like that. I was in the city but not of the city; like we are in this world but not of it. Our citizenship is in Heaven! (Romans 12:2) Don’t be conformed or like this world, be transformed in your mind to think like Christ (Romans 12:2). Sometimes that is uncomfortable or odd; in the world’s standard. But it is pleasing and good in God’s will. To know what that looks like and eventually feels like; often, it won t feel right at first; we have to read His Word. The Bible gives us a mirror into our soul (James 1:23-25). Looking into this mirror transforms our lives: First in our heart and our soul (our thinking). Next, it manifest in our outward lives. So, it starts in our heart or our spirit and manifest in our outward life. God is always doing an inside job. But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7 ESV When we seek God, and how His kingdom operates, then everything else lines up in order. (Matt 6:33) Prayer: Father create in me a desire to read your Word, with understanding. I desire for you to transform my life into what is pleasing to you; through the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit in me! APPLICATION- 1- Pray for desire to read and understanding of his Word. 2- Seek Him by reading his Word. 3- Apply what the Word is instructing you to do. 4- Transformation occurs; not by your might but by HIS SPIRIT (Zech 4:6) and the power of the Word.

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 2 timothy 1:6
Paul did this in scripture by the laying on of hands. God laid on my heart to pray this prayer by sending words forth. I prayed this prayer over my husband, my children, their mates and me. AMAZING!! Within 2 weeks, I saw God move in this area on my son and husband. My husband, Mark, was taking a shower and the Lord dropped in his spirit: I bless you when you utilize your gifts in your field! What a word! Now that is a word of knowledge for anyone; but it is so exciting when God gives you a “specific” word for you and your family. This is an example of Jeremiah 33:3; He gives us secrets that are fenced in…..”SECRETS FOR US!” The gifts of God are in each of us! It’s exciting because we all have a special part in His Kingdom! You make a difference! Prayer: God I ask the Holy Spirit to move in my life. I fan the flame of the gifts you have placed inside me. Increase! Stir up and awaken all the gifts and talents you have planted in me. Thank You Father! Amen Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 For a long time, I had the understanding that when you own or confess the truth about yourself, then there is freedom. This is true. But a deeper meaning that God showed me on this is: When you come to know me; I am the truth. I am the one that sets you free. “You will know Me and I will set you free”. It’s in our walk with Jesus that we become set free. It is a process of deliverance from anything that holds you captive. Jesus promises that he came, to set the captives free. Whatever you are being held captive of, Jesus can deliver you from it. The first step is ownership of what is holding you captive. It can be an addiction, a secret, toxic behavior patterns……..anything! If you are a Christian, the Holy Spirit is deposited in you. The Holy Spirit is the counselor (John 14:26). Let me say, the best counselor available. Take your cares to Him and lay them at his feet and let Him grow and heal you. As you seek God and live by His Word, He sets you free: little by little. I think it’s little by little so that He has the relationship with you. He wants us coming back to Him for counsel and direction. Question: What area in your life do you need freedom? ______________________________________________ Prayer: Father, reveal the secret places in my life that you want to heal. Give me courage to trust you in these areas. Reveal yourself to me so that I know you, THE TRUTH, more. Be my counselor, my teacher and my healer. Thank You Father that you sent Jesus; I receive the healing and the freedom Jesus bought for me, through the cross!! |
