Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrew 11:1
NIV version: Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
So, how do we activate our faith? How do we stir faith up when we are having trouble believing for something? ……. Praise and glorify your Father!! No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, But he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God, Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised. Romans 4:20-21 Amplified PRAYER: Father, I praise you and glorify your name! Your word promises that as I praise you, I will become stronger and more empowered by faith. I thank you that you give me everything I need, even my faith to believe. You are my King!

Why do we pray for others?
We pray for others because Jesus did. We are to be like Him. The Holy Spirit will help us. It is impossible in our own flesh. As I write this, I am telling myself these things. It is hard to do that when others are casting stones at you. Whether its words or just turning their back towards you; We are to pray for them. Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty. Zechariah 4:6 Jesus asked His Father to forgive the people murdering him as he hung on the cross. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. Luke 23:34 What happens when we pray for others? RESTORATION- When Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the LORD gave him twice as much as before! Job 42:11 HEALING- (Anything that is not whole: sickness in your body, healing of emotional wounds, healing of lack, healing of a broken heart…anything that needs healing) Pray for each other so that you may be healed. James 5:16 YOU RECEIVE WHAT YOU GIVE- You actually decide what you get in return, by what you give out. Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:31 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38 Prayer: Father, Thank you that your spirit is in me. I forgive ______________ for ______________. I cast this at your feet because you care for me, you provide, heal, vindicate and restore the broken places in my life. Help me to love others as you love me, so that they will see you, my Father, and come to know you more. Amen. God chose you. Jesus redeemed you and The Holy Spirit is the power deposited in you to believe. God set us up!!
Wow! Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.11 In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. |
