God does not see color, church denomination or sin (If it’s covered by the blood of Jesus)-
He sees us as His child, a believer. Jesus prayed for ALL believers: John 17:20-23 Jesus says, in verse 20: I don’t just pray for the disciples, I pray for the ones who believe their message- That is us: The believers today and the ones to come. Jesus prayed for all believers to become one, on the way to the cross. He must have known that division slows down the process of bringing His kingdom into full fruition. The result of this “complete unity” (v 23) establishes, to the world: that God sent Jesus and we are loved. Jesus’ desire or prayer is for the church (all believers) to be in unity and love. God gives us the keys that operate in His kingdom. Two keys for success: unity and love. Those keys can start in our own hearts and grow into the church body. Prayer: Father, show me areas that I need to establish more love and unity. Give me understanding and courage to appropriate these in my life. Amen.
