Trust creates a place of rest in a relationship. When trust is not inside a relationship there is unrest. Often walls are up and feelings are guarded As we develop trust, it allows for a safe place to open up, share and become vulnerable. This is when a relationship grows to a deeper level. The same happens with God. As we spend time with Him, not just learn facts about Him, He reveals himself and we start to build a relationship that is established in love and trust. He shows up on our behalf and we get a “knowing” that He is real and loves us. How does this happen? Just like is would with a friend or a spouse. When you walk thru trials and good times together and depend on and share with each other, the relationship is being built. I encourage you to spend the first part of your day in the Word and prayer and watch your relationship with the Lord grow; Watch trust manifest in Him. Prayer: Father, I make myself available to this relationship and want to know you more. Reveal yourself to me; let me feel and know how much you love me, Help me trust you more. Amen

The definition of depression is: a state of feeling sad.
Or it can be a serious medical condition in which a person feels very sad, hopeless, and unimportant and often unable to live in a normal way. Depression is real and is an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness. BUT GOD!!! Sent Jesus, to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, Luke 4:18 The King James says:” he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted”. Hope deferred makes the heartsick: but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life. Proverbs 13:12 Do you feel sad and brokenhearted without hope and unsure of your future? God wants you to look to Him. He is the lifter of your head and he is where your help comes from. God wants you feeling joyful and hopeful and full of life. When our hope is “IN HIM”, not a person or job or your own strength, God is able to manifest himself. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13 Your hope is IN HIM, and increases inside of your relationship of trust, with Him!!! If you're thinking how does this happen or where do I start? First, Ask Jesus to come into your heart and fill you with His Spirit Ask for a hunger to seek and read His Word and Ask him for counsel and understanding. As you read the Bible, He will reveal himself, that’s how you start a relationship with Jesus. He loves you and wants to reveal himself and heal your heaviness; that’s what the blood of Jesus covers! Prayer: Father, I surrender my life to you. Heal my hopelessness. Teach me how to put my hope and trust in you. Amen. The definition of fruit: The image of good results coming from the life of the believer, often in terms of bringing benefit to the lives of others and advancing the work of God in the world.
Also, fruit is changed or increased character.
This is a principle that is so simple yet so true. Whether we focus on the good or the bad…..it increases!
Have you ever thought about buying a car and when you start to look at a specific model and color then you see them everywhere? What about if there is a problem area in a relationship and you keep rehearsing it or talking about it; it seems to get bigger. The same thing happens when we focus on God; we start to see Him--He gets bigger! When you see the wind, you actually don’t see the wind, you see evidence of the wind. You can watch the leaves blow or the branches of a tree sway, sometimes you can hear the howling of the wind. You can’t see the wind, but “know” the wind is real, because you are aware of what the wind is creating. Often, that is how it is with God. When you look for Him, you will see Him. He will reveal himself and you can see evidence that He is real. Today turn your eyes upon Jesus- Look for Him. Focus on wanting to know Him more!! and those who seek me will find me. Proverbs 8:17 Prayer: Father, Please give me eyes to see you in my life. Help me to see you operating for me when I can’t “see” it in the natural. I want to know you more. Amen A few nights ago, we had our couple’s bible study. Since it was so few of us we decided to talk about: When and what makes us fell closest to our mate.
After each person shared some good tips from: When my husband helps around the house. When my wife sits and tells me about her day. When I can vent and not be judged. All these tips were good; but the next morning in my quiet time, God showed me: we “feel” most content in our intimate relationships, when we don’t look at the other person to make us happy or to make us “feel “ a certain way. When we live our life “Unto Him”- and show love to our spouse or others without expectation, when we go the extra mile without expectation; just unto him… that’s when we feel the closest to Him and ultimately closer and more full-filled in our relationships with others. When we love God first and others second and become selfless, life continually gets better. Matt 6:33 -But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Prayer: Father, help me to put you first and live more self-less. I can’t do this in my flesh but with the love and help of your Spirit, I can be a vessel for you to move through. Amen. Walking with the Lord requires faith. He is the perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). So often when God is stretching us or growing us it takes another measure of faith.
Faith to believe for a job, faith to believe for time and energy to get a task done. Faith to believe our situation will get better. Ability to spend time with him to gain knowledge and understanding of what He directs us to do for these things to come to pass. If the enemy can keep us in fear and doubt for what we are believing for, it won’t come to pass. So how do we increase our faith? How do we not doubt and stand in fear and worry. Faith is increased by hearing or reading the word (Romans 10:17). Faith works in love (Gal. 5:6). We must be walking in love, in our daily life Faith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). So when we move in faith or step out in faith, God is able to move on our behalf. He has principles set up and he is a God of his word, to gain the understanding of this, we need to know his word and then apply it; or obey Him. Obedience to his word takes our walk with the Lord to another level. Keys of walking in faith- Read his word Walk in love Step out in faith Obedience Prayer: Father create in me a desire to love and read your word, so that it will come to pass in my life. Give me discernment of your promises and your truth. I long to know you more and please you more. Amen. |
