5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me.……………
8 My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be My disciples. John 15: 5,8 I love the first part of this passage because it tells us how to produce “much” fruit; by remaining in Him. By doing this, the Holy Spirit directs and prompts us in the areas we need change. When we take action, the Holy Spirit brings forth the fruit, or a positive outcome. It is up to us to be intentional by: Staying in Him and taking action. There can be many areas in our lives that aren’t bearing good fruit: Spiritual, emotional, physical, mental; the list goes on and on…. In this season, for me, it is “working out”. I often find a way to put that last in my day and skip it altogether. I am choosing daily to be intentional in this area, and I can only do this with Gods help. God wants our lives to be in balance. It is in this balance that peace and abundance flow. Sound mind and creative ideas manifest. Our perspective changes and we begin to see our lives through Gods eyes: “Much fruit” comes forth and God is glorified. When we walk with God, He makes our lives whole and complete. Identify one or two areas in your life where you are not bearing good fruit. Choose to be “intentional” in that area and watch your life flourish. I say one or two areas, because being intentional can turn into being overwhelmed if we try to work on too many things at one time. I have watched people’s lives move forward when they are intentional in one or two areas at a time. The fruit comes as you move forward. Prayer: Father, Help me to be intentional in: _____________________________. I commit to take action by: _____________________________________.
