Psalms 105:19-
19 Until the time came to fulfill his word, the LORD tested Joseph's character. NLT Psalms 105:19- 19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. KJV Do you ever feel like life is a series of unending test?….it is. We spend more of our life being refined for the calling God has for us than we do in the actual call. Similar to an athlete; he practices more hours than he spends in the game. Jesus trained for 30 years and ministered for 3. I love this scripture. It explains this. Until the time came to fulfill his word, his calling or his prophecy, the Word of the Lord tested or tried him. We are being refined and tried according to the Word so that our character is refined to the level needed for our calling or our purpose. We have to allow the Lord to refine our character, for promotion. Uuggghhh. It’s hard sometimes to persevere. But it is promising. God prepares and equips us. The word used above the first time is “our” word or a word given to us (prophecy). The second use of the term “word”, that we are refined with is the living, perfect, word. The literal Word of God tests us. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Psalms 12:6
